Shimizu Mokuzai Hinoki Cutting Board Straight Grain Extra Large 50x22cm

This extra large cutting board from Shimizu Mokuzai is cut from a single solid board of Kiso hinoki cypress taken from trees about 300 years old. It measures 50 x 22 x 3 cm (19.7 x 8.7 x 1.2 in), giving plenty of room for everyday prep.

Hinoki has a pleasant, gentle feel under the knife edge, so the board is comfortable to work on.

Because it is made from straight grain (masame) wood in one piece, the board is resistant to warping and lasts a very long time. The surface is left as natural unfinished wood. Made in Japan.
