Shimizu Mokuzai Sawara Wood Placemat 41 x 30 cm

This wooden placemat is made in Japan from Kiso sawara cypress. It suits everyday meals as well as entertaining guests, and works with Japanese or Western dishes alike.

The underside that touches the table is generously chamfered, so the placemat is easy to pick up. Each one measures 41 x 30 cm (16.1 x 11.8 in).

Choose between a clear urethane finish that brings out the natural wood grain, or an urushi lacquer finish for a more refined look that sets off your tableware. Available as a single placemat or a set of six.
