Shimizu Mokuzai Sushi Rice Mixing Tub (Hangiri) with Lid 48cm 25 Cups

This is a commercial size sushi rice mixing tub (hangiri) made from Kiso sawara cypress and bound with copper hoops. It is 48 cm (18.9 in) across and comes as a set with a lid.

The tub holds about 2.5 sho (25 Japanese rice cups) of rice. With the lid on, it measures approx. 48.5 cm (19.1 in) in outer diameter and approx. 15.7 cm (6.2 in) in height.

The wood is left unfinished. It is made in Japan.
