Part of Shimomura Kogyo's Ajiwai Shokubo series, this two-in-one tool grates and cuts thin strips from daikon radish and carrot. Flip it over to switch between the grating side and the cutting side.
The blade is made of titanium, which resists rust and holds up well against the salt, acid, and alkaline compounds found in many foods. Because the metal has no metallic smell, it will not transfer any odor to the food, so the natural flavor comes through.
It weighs 70 g (2.5 oz), is dishwasher safe, and is made in Japan.
We offer this tool in two slicer styles: a garnish slicer for fine shredded garnish, and a julienne slicer for thin cooking strips.
