This wide peeler is built for shredding cabbage, even half a head at once, with less effort. The blade is about 10.5 cm (4.1 in) wide, so more of the cabbage meets the blade with every stroke and a single pass cuts a larger amount.
The sharpened stainless cutlery steel blade is set at an angle, so it enters the food on a diagonal for less resistance and a smoother start to each cut. The handle has a smooth curve that fits the hand for a secure grip while slicing. This left handed version has its blade angle reversed to match a left handed grip, and the all stainless steel body is dishwasher safe.
