Shimomura Pro Grade Speed Daikon Radish Grater

This grater from Shimomura Kogyo's Pro Grade line uses a blade with alternating oval-shaped teeth that catch ingredients efficiently, making quick work of daikon radish and other vegetables with little waste.

Grating in a straight up-and-down motion gives a coarser, crunchier texture, while grating in a circular motion produces a finer, fluffier texture, so one grater gives you two different results depending on how you use it.

The attached container is molded with a slight tilt, so you can hold it at a comfortable angle while grating, and drain spouts let you pour off excess liquid without spilling the grated food.

Choose between two versions: one with a container, or one with a container plus a built-in colander insert for draining liquid right away. Made in Japan.
