Shimomura Verdun Black Stick Grater VB-610

This stick-style grater is part of Shimomura's Verdun Black series of black-finished kitchen tools designed to give a kitchen a clean, monotone look. The stainless steel grating head lets you grate just the amount you need directly onto food or into a container, and the edge of the grating head can also be used to peel the skin from ginger and similar ingredients.

The grater stands upright on its own, so it stays out of the way on the counter while cooking, and its shape keeps the blade from catching on a sponge, making it easy to wash.

It is made with heat-resistant resin and is dishwasher safe for simple cleanup. The grater measures 18.2 x 2.4 x 2.2 cm (7.2 x 0.9 x 0.9 in) and weighs about 22 g (0.8 oz).
