This knife comes from the Verdun series by Shimomura Kogyo, an all-stainless knife line designed around the idea of making everyday cooking more enjoyable, with a focus on ease of use and sharpness.
Craftsmen in Tsubame-Sanjo give each blade a hand-finished edge for a smooth cutting edge that bites into food well and cuts with light pressure. The blade is stainless cutlery steel with added molybdenum and vanadium to help the edge stay sharp longer. The handle is 18-8 stainless steel.
The rounded handle sits comfortably in the hand and fits the fingers, making detailed work easier. The seamless one-piece construction is easy to wash, and the knife is dishwasher safe.
Made in Japan. Choose from paring, santoku, chef's, and bread knife types.
