This Tamahashi Days DS-13 is a multi-purpose cutting board that works four ways: as a cutting board, a defrosting plate, a grater, and a knife sharpener.
The plate is made of aluminum, which has high thermal conductivity, so it defrosts food quickly. This makes it useful for items like steak or sashimi blocks that you would rather not warm up in a microwave.
The board measures about 36.7 x 25 x 1 cm (14.4 x 9.8 x 0.4 in) and weighs about 700 g (24.7 oz / 1.54 lb).
The built-in sharpener section cannot be used on ceramic or titanium knives. Keep the board away from open flame and do not set hot pots or pans on it.
