Tanabe Kanagu Hana Copper Drinkware

This copper drinkware from Tanabe Kanagu's Hana series is designed to enhance the enjoyment of sake, shochu, beer, and other drinks. Copper conducts heat quickly, so a cold drink poured in chills almost instantly and stays cold, while the tin lining on the interior is said to soften and mellow the drink's flavor through an ionic effect.

A baked clear coating protects the exterior from the discoloration that bare copper can develop over time, and the character for "Hana" (flower) is engraved on both the inside and outside of every piece.
