This copper tumbler from Tanabe Kanagu is made to keep cold drinks like beer icy cold with smoother, more mellow foam. Copper's high thermal conductivity chills a drink quickly and helps it stay cold, while the tin lining on the inside is said to soften the taste through an ionic effect.
A baked clear coating on the outside keeps the copper from the discoloration that bare copper is prone to over time. The design leaves out any hammered texture so the copper's own surface and feel come through, and the character for "Hana" (flower) is engraved on both the inside and outside.
We offer this tumbler in two finishes: a Matte version with a tin coating on the exterior for a calm, cool silver sheen, and a Copper Mirror version that blends gold into the copper for a vivid pink gold tone. Choose from three sizes, as a single tumbler or as a set of two packaged together in a paulownia wood gift box.
