Tanabe Kanagu Hana Straight Tumbler Hammered 140ml Copper Mirror 4703

This copper tumbler is made for enjoying ice-cold beer, shochu, or mizuwari (shochu mixed with water). Copper conducts heat quickly, so a cold drink poured in chills almost instantly and stays that way.

The inside is lined with tin, which is said to soften and enhance the drink's flavor through an ionic effect, while a baked-on clear coating on the outside keeps the copper from discoloring over time. The surface has a hammered (tsuchime) texture, giving it a refined look and a pleasant feel in the hand. Both the inside and outside are engraved with the character for "Hana" (flower).

This copper mirror version has an exterior made by blending gold into the copper, giving it a vivid pink-gold tone.

The tumbler stands about 93 mm tall (3.7 in), weighs about 68 g (2.4 oz / 0.15 lb), and holds about 140 ml (4.7 fl oz).
