The Corrot tumbler from Toyo-Sasaki Glass is a drinking glass individually shaped by hand by skilled glass artisans. This cross-pattern version is finished in blue and made from semi-lead crystal glass.
Because each piece is hand formed, it shows the clear transparency and color variation unique to handmade glass. The surface pattern is created with a technique in which colored glass thread is wrapped around the piece while it is still being mold blown.
The tumbler measures 8.5 x 8.2 x 8.2 cm (3.3 x 3.2 x 3.2 in), holds 280 ml (9.5 fl oz), and weighs 200 g (7.1 oz). It is made in Japan.
