The Corrot tumbler from Toyo-Sasaki Glass is a drinking glass individually shaped by hand by skilled glass artisans. This vertical-line version is finished in blue and made from semi-lead crystal glass.
Because each piece is hand formed, it shows the clear transparency and color variation unique to handmade glass. The surface pattern is created with a technique in which colored glass thread is wrapped around the piece while it is still being mold blown.
The tumbler measures 8.9 x 8.9 x 8.2 cm (3.5 x 3.5 x 3.2 in), holds 310 ml (10.5 fl oz), and weighs 210 g (7.4 oz). It is made in Japan.
