This Mt. Fuji cold sake cup set from Toyo-Sasaki Glass pairs a blue cup and a red cup, each decorated so that turning the cup upside down reveals the snow capped peak of Mt. Fuji. In Japan, Mt. Fuji has long been regarded as a sacred mountain, and its elegant shape is also widely recognized abroad as a symbol of Japan.
Each cup measures about 6.7 x 6.7 x 4.6 cm (2.6 x 2.6 x 1.8 in), weighs about 93 g (3.3 oz / 0.21 lb), and holds 35 ml (1.2 fl oz). The cups are handmade, so slight differences in color blending and shape are part of their character.
The pair comes in a wooden gift box about 6.1 cm (2.4 in) high and weighing about 287 g (10.1 oz / 0.63 lb), making the set suitable for gift giving. Do not use in the microwave or dishwasher. Made in Japan.
