The Yachiyo Kiriko cut glass tradition comes from the Yachiyo kilns in the old Shimofusa region, pairing traditional technique with a modern sensibility. Each sake cup is cut by hand and finished in a deep sumi (ink black) color, with gold leaf showing through the cut facets.
Made of crystal glass, the cup holds 85 ml (2.9 fl oz) and measures 7.1 x 7.1 x 6.8 cm (2.8 x 2.8 x 2.7 in). It comes in a dedicated wooden presentation box, making it a nice gift. Made in Japan.
As each piece is handmade, slight differences in shape, weight, capacity, and color blending can occur between pieces.
