The Yachiyo Kiriko cut-glass tradition comes from the Yachiyo kilns in the old Shimofusa region, pairing traditional technique with a modern sensibility. This sake cup is cut in a bamboo fence pattern and finished in a deep sumi (ink-black) color, with gold leaf showing through the cut facets.

Made of crystal glass, it measures 7.1 x 7.1 x 6.8 cm (2.8 x 2.8 x 2.7 in), holds 85 ml (2.9 fl oz), and weighs 160 g (5.6 oz). It comes in a dedicated wooden presentation box, making it a nice gift. As each piece is handmade, slight differences in shape, size, weight, capacity, and color blending can occur. Made in Japan.
