This copper lid is made for the 10 cm (3.9 in) saucepan in Wadasuke's Petit Pan series, a line of miniature cookware scaled down from the company's commercial kitchenware for single servings and tabletop cooking. It has a brass knob for lifting it on and off the pan. Wadasuke has made metal cookware in Japan since 1923, and the lid shares the same sturdy construction as the rest of the brand's professional-grade cookware.
The underside of the lid is lined with hand-applied tin, which keeps the copper from developing verdigris and keeps any metallic taste out of the food underneath it. Because of this tin lining, avoid scrubbing the lid with a metal scouring pad, and do not let a covered pan boil dry.
