Wadasuke has made professional metal cookware in Japan since 1923. This lid is sized for the matching 8 cm (3.1 in) copper mini saucepan in the same series.

The lid has a copper body with a hand-applied tin lining on the inside and a brass knob. It is about 8 cm (3.1 in) across and 22 mm (0.9 in) high, and weighs 50 g (1.8 oz / 0.11 lb).

The tin lining keeps the copper from developing verdigris (green corrosion) and keeps a metallic odor from transferring into food. Because of this tin-lined finish, do not scrub it with a metal scouring pad, and do not let it heat while empty.
