This copper petite saucepan with a pour spout is made by Wadasuke, a Japanese maker of professional metal kitchenware since its founding in 1923. Scaled down from the company's commercial cookware, it is a small one handed pan designed for cooking in small amounts, whether that is melting butter or preparing a small batch of sauce.
The built in pour spout lets you pour liquid cleanly without dripping down the side of the pan. Copper conducts heat very quickly, so heat spreads through the pan right away, and it also retains heat well, which suits slow, gentle cooking.
The interior is hand tin lined, so avoid scrubbing it with a metal scouring pad and do not heat the pan when it is empty.
This pan is offered in three sizes so you can match it to the amount you typically cook.
