This tapered petite pan has a long handle and is made of copper by Wadasuke, a Japanese maker founded in 1923. The rim flares outward toward the top for easy pouring, and the 12 cm size holds about 440 ml (14.9 fl oz).

The long handle keeps the balance easy to hold and keeps your hand farther from the heat while you tilt and pour. Copper conducts heat quickly and evenly, and it also holds heat well, which suits slow, gentle cooking. We use it for small sauces, melted butter, or caramel.

The interior has a hand applied tin lining, so please do not use metal scouring pads on it and avoid heating it while empty. It measures about 27.4 x 12.2 x 10.2 cm (10.8 x 4.8 x 4 in) and weighs about 410 g (14.5 oz). It is made in Japan.
