This miso strainer belongs to the Ajido line from Wahei Freiz, a series of kitchen tools designed for quality and ease of use in both professional and home kitchens.
The mesh and frame are stainless steel, which resists rust and holds up to repeated use, while the handle and included stick are natural wood. Beyond straining miso, it can be used for sifting flour, pressing soft foods through a sieve, blanching vegetables, and lifting ingredients out of dashi stock once their flavor has been drawn out. The included wooden stick lets you press and strain quickly and thoroughly.
It measures 25.1 x 8.9 x 8.7 cm (9.9 x 3.5 x 3.4 in) and weighs 108 g (3.8 oz / 0.24 lb). Made in Japan.
