The Wahei Freiz Eira frying pan is made of iron that has been nitrided, a process that combines nitrogen with the iron surface to harden it and increase its resistance to rust. The handle is natural keyaki (zelkova) wood.

Iron heats up quickly and evenly, which helps give pan-fried food a nice browned char while keeping stir-fried ingredients crisp. There is no need to season the pan or fire it empty before first use, so it is ready to cook with right away.

The surface is safe to use with metal spatulas and turners. After cooking, it can be scrubbed clean with a scouring pad or bamboo brush. To keep the pan in good condition, wash it with hot water while still warm, dry it briefly over medium heat to remove moisture, then wipe a thin layer of oil into the interior with a paper towel. A booklet explaining how to care for nitrided iron cookware is included, and the pan can be used on induction (IH) cooktops.

This frying pan is available in three sizes: 22 cm, 26 cm, and 30 cm.
