This iron frying pan becomes easier to use the more you cook with it, as the surface gradually takes on oil with regular use. Until the pan is well seasoned, warm a little oil in it before cooking to help the process along. The body is made from a high grade steel sheet developed for frying pans, called blue temper steel, which is quench-hardened to form a protective oxide layer that resists rust and stands up well to everyday use.

After cooking, wash with hot water and a scrub brush, no detergent needed, then dry the pan over heat and wipe on a thin layer of oil before storing it for next time. The pan works on both gas stovetops and induction (IH) cooktops, and it is made in Japan.
