Steaming brings out the natural flavor of food. Vegetables turn out sweeter, and meat and fish become moist and tender when steamed in this bamboo steamer basket set.
The natural bamboo absorbs moisture well, which helps keep steamed dishes from becoming soggy. The basket also looks good enough to bring straight to the table, so it works for everyday meals as well as for entertaining guests.
It can steam up to 375 g (13.2 oz), about 2.5 go, of glutinous rice. Food should not be placed directly in the basket; line it with parchment paper or a steaming cloth first. The set measures about 20.5 x 20.5 x 10 cm (8.1 x 8.1 x 3.9 in) and weighs about 320 g (11.3 oz).
