This iron tamagoyaki pan from Wahei Freiz is made for Japanese rolled omelets. Because iron can cook at high heat, it turns out tamagoyaki that is fluffy and moist, with a glossy black finish that develops more character the more you use it.
Unlike fluororesin coated pans, there is no coating to peel off, so with simple regular care it can be used for a long time. It also works on induction (IH) cooktops.
Care: after use, remove stuck on food with hot or warm water, ideally with a scrub brush. Wipe it dry, then heat it on the stove to drive off all moisture. Store it with a thin coat of oil to help prevent rust.
This pan is offered in two sizes, a compact size suited to bento portions and a larger standard size. Made in Japan.
