Wahei Freiz Kitchen Assist Thawing & Heat Dissipating Plate RE-7537

This aluminum plate is designed to speed up thawing frozen food and to help cool down hot, just-cooked food. Aluminum conducts heat well, so the plate quickly draws the cold out of frozen ingredients and spreads it across the whole surface, thawing food faster than it would on its own. It uses no electricity or gas, and the thawing effect does not wear out over time. It works with meat, seafood, and other ingredients, and is also handy for cooling hot rice or a freshly packed bento quickly.

The plate stands on small feet, which also make it easy to pick up, and the surface has a fluororesin coating that wipes clean easily. Moisture released during thawing collects in the grooves around the edge, so it does not spread onto the counter or table. It is dishwasher safe.
