This Wahei Freiz Kosho pan has a wood handle and is formed, coated, polished, assembled, and packed in factories in Japan by skilled craftspeople.
The pan has a thick base that stores heat and thin sides that spread heat quickly across the surface, so food cooks fast with little uneven heating. The strong aluminum magnesium alloy body keeps it light yet durable.
The exterior has a shot peened finish, the same treatment used on aircraft and automotive parts, which resists scratches and makes oil stains easier to clean. The PTFE Platinum Plus nonstick interior resists scratching, so metal spatulas may be used. This pan is for gas stoves only.
We offer this pan in three frying pan sizes (20 cm, 24 cm, and 26 cm) and as a tamagoyaki pan for making Japanese rolled omelets.
