This ceramic dish lets you create grilled, seared style dishes in the microwave or oven without using an open flame. A heat-generating glaze on the surface reacts with microwave energy, so the dish itself heats up and cooks food evenly in a short time.
Foods with natural fat can develop a nicely browned surface as they cook. Once cooking is finished, the dish can go straight to the table; its muted, understated look sets off the color of the food. The rim is shaped so it is easy to hold even while wearing oven mitts.
Measuring 27.5 x 12 x 4.2 cm (10.8 x 4.7 x 1.7 in) and weighing 580 g (20.5 oz / 1.28 lb), this dish is made in China.
