This rice paddle is part of the Menkyo Kaiden non-stick series from Wahei Freiz. Its surface uses a double embossed texture, with fine ridges layered over a raised pattern, which reduces the contact area with the rice and helps the surface hold a thin layer of moisture so rice does not stick.
The rim around the embossed area is made thinner than the rest of the paddle, which keeps rice from clinging to the edge. The thinner edge also makes it easier to slide the paddle into the rice, giving a cleaner cut when fluffing and turning freshly steamed rice.
Made of polypropylene and made in Japan. We offer this paddle in two sizes: Large and Mini.
