Wahei Freiz Non-Stick Rice Paddle Mini KR-9018

This rice paddle has a double-embossed surface: raised bumps across the face, with finer ridges layered on top of them. The texture reduces the contact area between the paddle and the rice and helps the surface hold a little moisture, so rice is less likely to stick to it.

The rim around the embossed area is made thinner, which keeps rice from clinging to the edge of the paddle. The thinner rim also lets the paddle slide into the rice more easily, giving a cleaner cut when you fluff and turn the rice. It is made in Japan.
