The Pocofritto Square Deep Fryer Pot from Wahei Freiz is designed for frying with less oil and less mess than a standard deep pot. Its compact square shape lets it stand upright next to a frying pan on the stovetop without the two bumping into each other, and a corner spout makes it easy to pour used oil into an oil container without spilling.
The pot is made of steel or iron with a silicone resin coating and works on induction (IH) stovetops. Its square footprint also makes it easy to store compactly, such as in a narrow space under the sink.
Some versions include a square tray that doubles as a lid along with a draining rack, so excess oil drips off fried food after cooking; the tray can also be used on its own in a toaster oven to reheat food. Certain versions also include an oil thermometer so you can check that the oil has reached the right temperature before frying.
This listing offers three sizes (Mini, Regular, and Wide) in a range of configurations, from the pot alone to versions that add a draining rack, a tray with rack, or a tray, rack, and thermometer.
