This steaming cloth is useful for steaming sticky rice and similar foods. The cotton cloth lets steam escape at the right rate and helps keep condensation from collecting, so the food does not turn out watery.
Lay it in the bottom of a steamer or a traditional seiro basket, and you can lift the cloth along with the food afterward, which helps keep it from sticking. This net measures 70 x 66 x 0.1 cm (27.6 x 26 x 0 in) and weighs about 40 g (1.4 oz).
