The SUI Meister mesh corner strainer from Wahei Freiz is made in the Tsubame-Sanjo area of Niigata, Japan, a region known for metal craftsmanship, and is built from clean, hygienic 18-8 stainless steel.
It fits into the corner of a kitchen sink to catch vegetable peelings and other food scraps while you cook. The mesh itself provides the strength of the strainer, which keeps the number of wire joints low so the parts that tend to clog are reduced. Elastomer resin feet on the bottom hold the strainer steady without scratching the sink.
