The outer surface is hand finished to a deep mirror shine, while the inside carries a fine hairline texture designed to help poured beer form a creamier head. Stainless steel resists warming back up once chilled, so the cup suits cold drinks well, and its cool surface also gives a visually chilled look. The rim is polished smooth for a comfortable feel against the lips.
