This two-tier steamer pot is made of durable stainless steel and is sized for steaming large batches of food at once, including about 1 sho (around 1.5 kg / 3.3 lb) of sticky rice for mochi. The full-view glass lid lets you check on the food while it cooks without lifting the lid.
The lower pot can also be used on its own as a two-handled pot for simmered dishes such as oden or stew, so it works for more than just steaming.
