Yamako Cypress Wappa Seiro Steamer Set 15cm with Lid, Sudare & Base

The Yamako Wappa Seiro is a round steamer basket made from hinoki cypress and bamboo. It is used for steaming foods such as rice, buns, dumplings, and vegetables, and this set comes complete with a matching lid, a bamboo sudare mat, and a stand, so everything needed to start steaming is included.

This steamer measures 15 cm (5.9 in) across and 7.3 cm (2.9 in) in height, giving a bit more room than the smaller size in the same series. The bamboo sudare mat fits inside the basket and lifts food above the base so steam can circulate evenly around it while it cooks.

Hinoki cypress is a wood long used in Japanese kitchens for its light, pleasant scent. This steamer set is made in Japan.
