This round ice tub (hioke) is made from sawara cypress wood staves bound with copper hoops, in a traditional Japanese cooperage style. It is used to hold ice at the table, for example to chill drinks or keep sashimi and other foods cold during serving.
Made in Japan, the natural wood and copper hoop construction gives it a traditional look suited to Japanese style dining and izakaya settings.
This tub is offered in two sizes, Small and Large.
