Slice butter into neat, pre-portioned pieces simply by placing a block on the wire cutting plate and pressing the lid down. Each cut yields a uniform slice of about 5 g (0.2 oz), handy for measuring out butter for bread machine recipes, baking, or everyday cooking.
Once the butter is sliced, the same lid closes back over the base so the cutter can go straight into the refrigerator for storage. The lid is made of polyethylene rated for use from -30°C to 80°C (-22°F to 176°F).
