This line of accessories is made for Yoshikawa's Suiro deep bowl system. A matching lid and perforated steaming plate turn the bowl into a simple microwave steamer for vegetables and other food, while a stainless steel colander or mesh insert turns the same bowl into a draining or straining bowl for washed vegetables and fruit.
The lid can also be used on its own as a simple dust cover for the bowl. The colander uses a firm mesh that resists bending out of shape, with feet formed as part of the body for good drainage and to help protect the bowl during use. The mesh insert has its rim wrapped on both the top and bottom edges so it will not scratch the inside of the bowl.
All pieces are made in Japan from polypropylene resin or 18-8 stainless steel. This listing offers a choice of part (lid, steaming plate, mesh insert, or colander), with the lid and colander also available in a choice of size, and the lid available in gray or beige.
