Akebono Sangyo Kakki Hexagonal Sake Cup Ochoko Ink Black TW-3791

This hexagonal sake cup is part of Akebono Sangyo's Kakki series, made to look like glass while standing up to everyday use. The crisp, faceted shape and clear finish give it a glass-like transparency, but the cup is made of copolyester resin, which is safer and more durable than ordinary plastic, so it will not shatter if dropped.

This color is Sumi, meaning ink, a transparent black carrying the depth of sumi ink, with shadows that shift in the light to give the cup a quiet, distinct presence.
