Akebono Tobidase Block Onigiri Rice Ball Mold Red CH-2118

This red mold from Akebono Sangyo makes square rice balls that look like the blocks and items of a popular video game. Each finished rice ball is about 3 x 3 cm (1.2 x 1.2 in) and about 25 g (0.9 oz).

The mold has a double emboss texture, with fine bumps on top of larger ones, so rice does not stick. Add your favorite fillings, wrap with nori or sprinkle with furikake to vary them. You can also use it to shape chocolate flakes or ice for snacks.

It is dishwasher safe. Akebono Sangyo is based in Tsubame, Niigata, and this mold is made in Japan.
