Benkei Udon Noodle Strainer Basket with Wooden Handle Large HF-52

Benkei is a line of kitchen tools made by Honma Fuyuji Kogyo, a metal housewares manufacturer in the Tsubame area of Niigata, Japan that builds commercial grade tools meant to be used for years.

This udon noodle strainer basket is used for boiling noodles and other food in a pot and draining it when ready. A hook on the rim lets it hang on the edge of the pot. The handle is made of natural wood, so you can hold it without touching the hot metal wire mesh.

It measures about 15.5 x 14 x 14 cm (6.1 x 5.5 x 5.5 in) and weighs about 300 g (10.6 oz).
