Koyanagi Sangyo Marusan Kiriboshi Daikon Shredder Board Large 60cm

Koyanagi Sangyo, founded in 1926 in the metalworking town of Tsubame-Sanjo, Niigata, makes original products that combine natural materials like wood and bamboo with metal. This wood-handled shredder board is designed for preparing kiriboshi daikon (dried shredded radish) at home: simply push the daikon through the blade and set the shreds out to dry in the sun.

The shredding blade is about 6 mm (0.2 in) wide, which gives the daikon a bit of thickness for good texture and natural sweetness. The blade itself is stainless steel, so it holds up well even when cutting a large amount of daikon without dulling quickly.

Its large, 60 cm (23.6 in) size is made for working with a big container and a large batch of daikon at once. It is not dishwasher safe.
