Koyanagi Sangyo Marusan Wooden Tokoroten Pusher (Tentsuki) 2001

We offer this tentsuki, a tokoroten pusher made in Japan with a brass blade from Koyanagi Sangyo.

The blade is made from specially processed brass pieces fitted together, giving it excellent sharpness that is well suited to firm blocks of tokoroten (agar jelly). Because the blade cuts cleanly, the pushed strands come out with smooth, even edges, giving the finished tokoroten a nicer appearance and texture. The wooden body measures 40.5 x 5.5 x 3.7 cm (15.9 x 2.2 x 1.5 in) and weighs 148 g (5.2 oz / 0.33 lb).
