This set of six wooden placemats is made in Japan from Kiso sawara cypress. They suit everyday meals as well as entertaining guests, and work with Japanese or Western dishes alike.
The urushi lacquer finish gives them a refined look that sets off your tableware. The underside that touches the table is generously chamfered, so each placemat is easy to pick up. Each one measures 41 x 30 x 1.2 cm (16.1 x 11.8 x 0.5 in).
