These kitchen scissors are designed for cutting scallions (green onions) directly over a dish, with no cutting board needed. They come with a cover: press a scallion against the cover and snip repeatedly to get evenly sized rounds.
The cover catches the cut pieces so they fall straight down instead of scattering, which lets you cut scallions right over soup, rice, or other finished dishes. Remove the cover and the scissors work as a standard kitchen pair for a variety of other ingredients.
