The Gorigori Bowl Set in green is a two-way kitchen tool that works as a mixing bowl and a grinding bowl in one. A suction cup on the base holds the 18 cm (7.1 in) bowl firmly on the counter, and the cup can be removed when it is not needed.
The inside of the bowl has a ridged, mortar-like surface, which makes it handy for prep work such as making shira-ae tofu dressing, grating mountain yam, or grinding sesame seeds. The set includes the bowl, a grater plate, and a wooden pestle. It is made in Japan by Tiger Crown, a houseware maker based in the Tsubame-Sanjo area of Niigata that has been designing kitchen tools since 1959.
