This two-in-one bowl and mortar set has a suction base on the bottom that holds it firmly in place while you work, and the suction cup can be removed when it is not needed. The inside of the bowl is textured like a mortar, so it doubles as a grinding bowl for prep tasks such as making shira-ae dressing, grating mountain yam, or grinding sesame seeds.

The set includes an 18 cm (7.1 in) bowl, a grater plate, and a wooden pestle, in pink. The bowl is made of copolyester copolyester, the grater plate of ABS resin, the pestle of natural wood, and the suction base of styrene-based thermoplastic elastomer. It measures about 23.5 x 18.8 x 11.5 cm (9.3 x 7.4 x 4.5 in) and weighs about 395 g (13.9 oz / 0.87 lb).
