This tempura pot from Wahei Freiz is made of heavy iron that holds heat well, keeping oil at a steady temperature for crisp, evenly fried results. The 22 cm (8.7 in) double-handle pot holds up to 2.8 liters (3 qt) of oil and works on both gas burners and induction (IH) cooktops.
A built-in thermometer lets you check the oil temperature and adjust it to suit each ingredient, while a splash guard around the rim helps protect against oil spatter. A pour spout makes it easier to transfer oil in and out of the pot without spilling.
The set includes a draining tray with a fluororesin coating and a chrome-plated net for resting fried food after cooking. The pot itself weighs about 960 grams (33.9 oz / 2.12 lb).
